Pen collecting is a rewarding hobby where you also get use out of the item you collect. Most pen collectors collect fountain pens and develop a focus based on likes and dislikes. The focus could be a brand, body colour, Japanese made pens, limited editions, specialty nibs, pens from a certain era. Our advice is start with pens that you like and share your experiences with other collectors. You can ask questions through online community groups like Fountain Pens Australia and attend meet-ups like the annual Sydney and Melbourne Pen Shows, and manufactured supported events like the Pelikan Hubs.
