STILLMAN & BIRN Alpha (150gsm) is one of our favourite sketchbook papers for beginners or for everyday use.
The paper is lighter and less intimidating than most other watercolour papers, but handles water surprisingly well.
Vellum, with a fine texture on both sides of the sheet, that suits graphite, coloured pencil, fountain pen and light watercolour. Natural white colour.
Available in the red labelled hardbound, spiral and softcover. Friendly and forgiving. Sample swatches available.
