The handle is blown by the artist and the tip molded to ensure a smooth writing experience, with twisting grooves to maximise ink capacity. Glass dip pens are a joy to use in their simplicity and versatility. You can dip into any ink, change ink colours easily and with a good quality tool, write up to a page of writing on one dip. The tip is firm and does not offer line variation, but instead tonal variation, due to the less regular ink flow along the grooves. Popular for sketching, colour swatching or adding detail to watercolour paintings. There is something quite mesmerising when using this more traditional tool.
