Limited editions released each year in low numbers and may only be 80 units worldwide. Maki-e is the traditional Japanese handcraft of elaborate decoration with multiple lacquers of Urushi lacquer applied to finish the pen with a durable but natural feel. Raden is instead the use of small pieces of pearlescent shell to decorate the pen body before finishing with the same Urushi technique. Each piece is a work of art and appreciate by collectors around the world.
