This is another pen in the revised SAILOR specialty range, combining SAILOR's world renown nib craftsmenship, with a modern updated look. As with all SAILOR specialty nibs, these are in short supply and sell quickly whenever we have stock.

Emperor refers to another ``rolled nib'' that is placed over the ``pen nib''. It was devised to always provide a stable inflow of ink, and its feature is a shape that wraps around like the mouth of a butterfly. By storing surplus ink, it plays an auxiliary role in supplying ink when a large amount of ink is rapidly consumed. It is also suitable for writing on highly permeable paper such as Japanese paper. History of development of “Nagato Emperor” In the early 1990s, Nobuyoshi Nagahara completed the Cross Point in the form of an improved long sword sharpening technique, inspired by customers' requests for a fountain pen that was thick and large enough to write on Japanese paper. After that, we heard from customers that they wanted a fountain pen that wouldn't run out of ink even with Japanese paper, so we completed the Emperor six months after developing the Crosspoint.

SAILOR Nagainata Togi Emperor is only available on the 1911 Large fountain pen with gold trimmings. The Emperor provides a secondary ink reservoir on the top side of the nib to help the ink keep up with the wide line of the nib. The 21K nib is stamped with the anchor logo and is available in the same nib sizes as the regular Togi (F, MF, M). Cap ring is also the same as the revised Naginata Togi, marking the model as a specialty edition. The pen is compatible with SAILOR converter (included) and SAILOR cartridges.
