The Cross Point is a double decker 21K nib, writing wide strokes at all angles for the normal orientation of writing and fine strokes when the used in reverse. The Cross name comes from the cross shape formed by horizontal space between the nibs and the vertical slits in the nib. More info below. SAILOR Pen. Fine writing instruments from Hiroshima Japan.
This is another pen in the revised SAILOR specialty range, combining SAILOR's world renown nib craftsmenship, with a modern updated look. As with all SAILOR specialty nibs, these are in short supply and sell quickly whenever we have stock.
SAILOR Nagainata Cross Point is only available on the 1911 Large fountain pen with gold trimmings. The cross point is a double 21K nib design, with one nib sitting on top of the other and a small horizontal space in between. This space, along with the usual vertical slit in the nibs, creates a visual cross. The Cross Point produces broad strokes for all angles in the standard writing position and fine strokes when the nib is used on its reverse side.
In comparison, the Cross Concord produces thin lines in the normal orientation and wide in reverse, while the Cross Music line varies from fine in the vertical to wide at a lower writing angle.
The top nib is stamped with the anchor logo. The cap ring is the same as the revised Naginata Togi, marking the model as a specialty edition. The pen is compatible with SAILOR converter (included) and SAILOR cartridges. Presented in Naginata pen box.
