Brush is housed in a stainless steel case to protect the hairs when not in use. This one is a soft squirrel, in oval wash design, for loose style watercolour and 'wet on wet'. Based on Rosemary's Series 41. Size measurement is brush head diametre by brush length (mm). Standard size travel handle (10.3cm closed / 18cm open).

Each brush is housed in a stainless steel case that you reverse out to make the hande of the brush and then close back up to protect the hairs when not in use.
The R14 is made with a soft pliable polypropylene to house the brush head. Squirrel hair is very absorbent, making it ideal for watercolours and washes. Good for expressive and loose work. Some also use for Chinese calligraphy. R14 is a smaller version of the R9 and suits artists working with smaller sketchbooks.
