Waterproof and lightfast ink for artists.
Use with a brush, dip pen or fountain pen (ink contains nano particles of pigment so will pass through the fountain pen feed, but good advice is to make sure you keep your fountain pen in use, at least fortnightly).
Available in 16 colours and also a thinner to allow you to dilute the ink without losing the waterproof properties.
All DE ATRAMENTIS Artist inks are miscible with each other, which means you can mix up any colour. Choose black, magenta, yellow and cyan as the perfect mixing set.
Testing both Artist ink and Doc ink in grey showed ink binds quickly (in a few minutes) and you can come over the top with water with very minimal movement of the ink, so we would say waterproof. Test was done with a fountain pen nib on on watercolour paper. Result may vary with heavily coated papers if pigment particles can't reach the fibres to bind. Also we have noticed waterproof inks are not as stable on the paper when applied with a dip pen (maybe dip pen lays down too much ink?). We have samples available for a low price if you want to test for yourself.
