Brush is housed in a stainless steel case to protect the hairs when not in use. This one is a soft squirrel, known for water holding capacity and with a good enough point for detail. Second most popular travel brush to the R2. Based on Rosemary's Series 42. Current stock is with a metal ferrule (no quill). Size measurement is brush head diametre by brush length (mm). Standard size travel handle (10.3cm closed / 18cm open).

Each brush is housed in a stainless slimline steel case that you reverse out to make the hande of the brush and then close back up to protect the hairs when not in use.
Made with squirrel but with a standard metal ferrule to provide a more cost effective mop for the beginner. Squirrel hair is very absorbent, making it ideal for watercolours and washes. Good for expressive and loose work. Some also use for Chinese calligraphy. You can use the body of the brush to lay down a wash then go straight to using the point for details without having to dip back into your palette.
A good second brush to get after the versatile R2 Pure Kolinsky Sable Round Size 8. It is similar in size to a size 8.
