ROSEMARY & CO is a family run business in England that makes these fantastic travel brushes for watercolour artists.

Each brush is housed in a stainless slimline steel case that you reverse out to make the hande of the brush and then close back up to protect the hairs when not in use.

Made with squirrel but with a standard metal ferrule to provide a more cost effective mop for the beginner. Squirrel hair is very absorbent, making it ideal for watercolours and washes. Good for expressive and loose work. Some also use for Chinese calligraphy. You can use the body of the brush to lay down a wash then go straight to using the point for details without having to dip back into your palette.

A good second brush to get after the versatile R2 Pure Kolinsky Sable Round Size 8. It is similar in size to a size 8.
