PENTEL Stein Mechanical Pencil Coloured Leads - 0.5mm - Blue

Blue coloured leads for a 0.5mm mechanical pencils. Useful for proofreading and making corrections in a printed document. Blue stands out from the black print, but is visually softer than red.

Designers often use blue for guidelines or planning marks, then confirm the marks in black ink.

Could also be used for colour coding notes or for more subtle shading effects in drawing. A light blue shadow will look more convincing than a heavy graphite one.

Compared to graphite, coloured leads are more brittle so use less pressure compare to when using graphite. The blue lead could also be used for background objects to create the idea of distance relative to black used on the foreground.
