Created to mark Faber-Castell’s 265th anniversary, the Classic Magnum Anniversary Edition takes the distinctive fluted design of the Classic Pernambuco and gives it a more imposing presence, with a substantial Magnum sized barrel and 18 carat gold nib. The barrel is crafted from Pernambuco, a dense, richly grained hardwood traditionally prized for making violin bows. Its warm natural colour deepens with age, developing a character that is uniquely its own.

Is Pernambuco wood durable?
Yes, it is a dense hardwood traditionally used in fine woodworking and instrument making. It's been a reliable material used by Graf in the Classic pen range since 2006.

Does every Pernambuco look different?
Yes, there is difference in the grain and colour between pieces and the colour will change as the pen ages. This is part of the charm.

How does the size compare with the regular Classic?
The Magnum is the choice if you want a larger, more substantial pen with a larger nib (size #6). The Classic is slimmer, lighter, fitted with a size #5 nib, and easier to carry and use every day. 

Is the Magnum too heavy to write comfortably?
The weight is noticeable, and makes it best suited to deliberate writing rather than quick note taking. The Magnum nib is its strength, and given it's size it is one of the softest and smoothest in the Graf range.

Are the Magnum nibs sizes broad for their stated size?
