Feel in the hand
Hibino is a deceptively substantial little book. Compact to carry, but at 768 pages it has a satisfying presence. Despite the huge page count, the use of Tomoe paper keeps the book relatively compact. The weight is 325g.

Is the 2027 Hibino fountain-pen friendly?
Yes. MIDORI specifically lists fountain pens as compatible with the Hibino's paper.
What version of Tomoe paper does it use?
Tomoe River S paper. From the 2024 edition onward, Hibino has used Tomoe River S produced by Sanzen Paper following the discontinuation of the original Tomoe River production by Tomoegawa. We think it's almost as good as the OG.
Does it lie flat?
It's fairly good considering the page count. The book uses thread sewn binding, designed to open easily and allow comfortable writing towards the edge of the page.
