These Japanese made fountain pen nibs are well aligned, and if any adjustments are needed, it usually involves checking the nib's square alignment on the feed. We provide this complimentary service for all gold nib pens. The top of the PILOT range is the Custom Urushi, featuring a stunning urushi lacquered body and a springy, oversize 18K gold nib. Differentiating within the range, we have the Custom series with a cigar shape (Jen's favourite being the Custom 823) and the Custom Heritage series with a flat top. Higher model numbers within each series indicate a larger nib length and pen weight/length. Interesting nib options include the FA modern flex nib for variable line width, the PO downturned nib for short strokes and the WA upturned nib for a larger sweet spot. Explore speciality pens like the Falcon (soft flex), Justus (adjustable nib firmness) and Capless (retractable nib) and slimmer Capless Decimo. Compatible converters include Converter 70 for most of the gold nib pens and the smaller Converter 40 for slimmer models. For optimum performance of your PILOT fountain pen, we recommend using PILOT Iroshizuku Ink.
