The adjuster alters the nib firmness from hard (H) to soft (S). The adjuster also increases the length of the section which is a real feature of the pen if you have large hands.

Body is heavy weight steel decorated in iridescent pinstriped black lacquer - a stylish change from an all black fountain pen.
