This is a sample of Pelikan Edelstein Topaz fountain pen ink. A vibrant turquoise blue.

Inspired by the Topaz gemstone, this ink shows shading properties on all the papers we tested, performing the best on Japanese paper stocks. A blend of bright turquoise with cool blue undertones like a tropical paradise. A lively colour that adds energy to writing or sketches, by the way it catches the light.

Edelstein inks are typically drier than most other inks, giving you a practical ink to use in pens where ink flow is too high or on paper likely to feather or bleed. A good option for a left hander who's grip makes it difficult to avoid smudging the ink just laid down.

Pair with a wide nib such as TWSBI Eco 1.1mm, to help you show off the shading properties.
