PELIKAN Edelstein - Sapphire - 5mL SAMPLE

This is a sample of Pelikan Edelstein Sapphire fountain pen ink. A purple leaning blue.

Inspired by the Sapphire gemstone, this ink shows shading properties on all the papers we tested, performing the best on Japanese paper stocks. True to the gemstone name, the colour is a luminous royal blue. It brings authority to correspondence and could be used as an everyday colour despite it not being a traditional blue.

Edelstein inks are typically drier than most other inks, giving you a practical ink to use in pens where ink flow is too high or on paper likely to feather or bleed. A good option for a left hander who's grip makes it difficult to avoid smudging the ink just laid down.

Pair with a wide nib such as TWSBI Eco 1.1mm, to help you show off the shading properties.
