The PRINCETON Art & BRUSH Co make some of the best synthetic fibre watercolour brushes available. This series is their synthetic Kolinsky sable and suits any application that is tight. Can be used to lay on colour, blend or create sharp edges.

Dagger shape provides a point and edge in a single brush. Use the point for expressive line work and the edge to block in colour. 

The appeal of this brush is that it is 100% synthetic, but as a leading fibre in mimicking Sable, it still holds a good point and picks up plenty of water that you need when blocking in colour.

Synthetic brush fibres are usually more hardy than natural fibres and can often be reset with hot water if the brush shape deteriorates.
