TWSBI Eco is a good entry level fountain pen that provides a lot of value for the price. Cartridge-free piston filling mechanism, providing high ink capacity. German made stainless steel nib that writes well out of the box. High ink flow makes it easier to use document (pigmented) inks. Transparent body shows remaining level of ink. Some Eco models with gold plated nibs.

TWSBI has changed the game!

TWSBI Eco-T combines simplicity and elegance in this very contemporary fountain pen. By using a piston ink-filling system, TWSBI has been able to create a fountain pen with very high ink capacity. What this means is that you no longer need ink cartridges or a converter...just fill this high capacity fountain pen and away you go.

The Eco-T differs from the standard Eco by having a more pronounced grip section; designed with the aim of helping the user to develop the correct writing grip or posture. This means it will be particularly good for children or those new to a fountain pen. The other differnece is a more rounded triangular shape to the cap and end twist mechanism.

Why use this pen? The nibs are fantastic, the styling amazing, you will be asked about it everywhere you go, and with it's big ink capaciy it is perfect for urban sketching.

All parts are detachable for cleaning. Packaged in a gift box with spanner and grease for mechanism.

For TWSBI a fine is 0.4mm line (same line width in all directions) and a stub 1.1mm writes with a calligraphic effect where the downstroke is wide and the cross stroke is thinner. Usually a 1.1mm nib writes a 1.1mm wide, but for the Eco it is more like 0.8mm on the downstroke (and 0.3 on cross). This narrower profile of the nib means you can get an edgy effect to your hand writing but still write fast.
