HOLBEIN Watercolour (repositional slants) Palette - 24 Wells

A novel idea for a portable palette that offers the lightness and portability of a plastic palette with the feature of being able to change the position of your pigments after they are poured. The slants (or wells) included are clipped into place and can be unclipped and moved to a different position within the palette. The initial set up is 12 slants in the base and another 12 in the lid, plus 6 spare slants (4 double size and 2 standard size). Use the double size slants for your favourite colours, which will also help preserve the tip of your paint brushes as it is easy to lift rather than drill for pigment. This palette does not include a silicone seal but the case closes quite well and should help keep your paints moist. Plastic palettes are more prone to staining so take care with high staining pigments. A creme cleanser like Jiff can be used gently to improve the wettability (reduce the beading) of the mixing surface or to reduce any stains.
