Large size traditional reed style pen. Made from bamboo. Approximately 18cm long with one end shaped to a point and the other squared for an italic effect. Suitable for dipping into any artist ink.
HERBIN. The oldest name in pen inks in the world.
Use the Reed Dip Pen as you would any other dip pen and with the bonus of more character in your line because of the rough finish to the nib.
Can be used with sumi, acrylic, Indian or fountain pen ink.
Submerge the tip of the pen into your ink and then commit to your line!
If you use waterproof ink, you will be able to apply watercolour or watersoluble ink over the top of the sketch without the original lines moving.
Bamboo tip can be recut as required to change the width of the nib, reshape the tip to a narrower italic shape or to sharpen the tool as it becomes blunt.
Size is large. Approximately 18cm long and 11mm diametre.
