Trace Balla Materials

Trace Balla is one of our favourite Australian authors and illustrators. She makes children's books that make your heart sing. Stories about looking closer to appreciate more, rock hopping to find your inner flow, spreading your wings and her lastest book, celebrating girlhood and sisterhood.

Trace featured on Gardening Australia and if you want to feel the joy of sketching and connecting with nature, head over to watch this inspiring film made in her Dja Dja Wurrung country (Central Victoria). Her favourite sketch tools include a TWSBI Fountain Pen for sketching with waterproof ink, watercolour pencils for adding a splash of colour and a water brush for moving the colours around.
