Brush quality you can feel

Rosemary & Co in England make an excellent value watercolour brush range, with many of the popular models also available in travel format. The premium brushes for travel are the R2 Kolinsky for detail and the R9 Squirrel for washes. Equivalent brushes on a short wooden handle are Series 33 Kolinsky Sable or the synthetic Red Dot Collection. Lots of other special effects brushes for trees, grass, fur etc and a helpful eradicator for lifting mistakes. Synthetics are the more hardy fibre for acrylic or oils, however sables can still be justified in the smaller sizes. See our 7 best sellers over on our blog. Please note we can no longer ship Kolinsky Sable fibre to the USA - see Red Dot synthetic sable instead.
