Platinum carbon ink

Platinum carbon ink is a popular ink for urban sketching, due to its rich colour and waterproof properties. The ink contains pigment particles that bind to the paper fibres within a few minutes to become permanent and waterproof, allowing you to then add wet media over the top. Carbon ink works best in Platinum, Twsbi and other fountain pens with good flow. When using pigment inks, use your fountain pen weekly to maintain the ink flow and clean the pen more often. Platinum also offers regular soluble fountain pen inks (dyes), that are easy care, but not waterproof. The Platinum converter can be inserted into a Platinum fountain pen to draw up ink from a bottle.
