PILOT Kakuno is a simple fountain pen that helps you learn how a fountain pen works. Made from plastic, it is light weight and easy to manipulate. The Family Series celebrates family life with each colour representing a member of the family...who gets what in your family?

The nib is Japanese quality and includes a different engraving for each family member on the top surface so you know which way to hold the pen. Japanese nibs write one size narrower than European nibs. We have looked at lots of these Kakuno nibs under magnification and the tines show good alignment.

Pen takes PILOT IC-50-B water-based cartridges and is initially supplied with a single cartridge of black water-based ink. Also compatible with PILOT Con-40 or Con-70 converter (available separately) to allow you to draw up bottled fountain pen ink.
