ESCODA
Tradition turned into art
Made in a small town near Barcelona, these ESCODA Travel brushes offer a premium synthetic option, for artists on the go. The travel brushes are housed in a metal case, with a reversal handle that protects the fibres when not in use. Using modern filaments of differing diametres, they perform close to natural fibres, are 100% vegan friendly and are often more durable. The white Perla fibre, with it’s ability to hold pigment and still holds its shape, is a good allrounder and available in travel or short handle format.
Versatil - stiff Kolinsky like fibre, more absorption than Chronos/Prado
Chronos - stiff fibre, Rmix with 90% Toray/10% red sable, holds more liquid than Prado
Prado - stiff fibre, to mimic the point and spring of Sable
Barrocco - Gold Toray, the brown version of Perla, but with slightly more stiffness than Perla
Perla - White Toray, moderate stiffness with good durability for beginner urban sketching
Ultimo - softest fibre, with high absoption to mimic natural squirrel, for traditional watercolour
