Small adjustments matter

Fountain pens are designed to write smoothly, but even good brands occasionally leave the factory needing a small adjustment. A tiny correction can change a pen from scratchy or inconsistent into something that feels effortless to write with. 

That's why we offer free nib tuning on all our fountain pens over $59. When you select the nib tuning option, we:

• Check tine alignment under magnification
• Optimise the nib for smooth writing
• Dry test or water dip test the nib

Retuning is also free while you still own the pen.

Gold nib pens receive extra support. If you select the nib tuning option and your gold nib doesn't write as it should, return it within one month of purchase and receive:

• $10 store credit towards your return postage
• For Australian orders, we cover the shipping back to you

Magnification makes a difference

We check the nib both head on, and at the writing angle, to confirm the two tines of the nib will contact the paper evenly, and at the same time.
