PILOT Kakuno is a simple fountain pen that helps you learn how a fountain pen works. Made from plastic it is light weight and easy to manipulate. This clear demonstrator gives you the full view of the workings of the pen and the ink inside.
The nib is Japanese quality and includes a little smiley face on the top surface so you know which way to hold the pen (and to remind you to smile while you try to draw!). Japanese nibs are narrower than European nibs and although this pen is fitted with a medium nib, it produces a nice fine line (like a LAMY fine). We have looked at lots of these Kakuno nibs under magnification and the tines show good alignment.
Pen takes PILOT IC-50-B water-based cartridges and is initially supplied with a single cartridge of black water-based ink. Also compatible with PILOT Con-40 piston converter (transparent) or the larger Con-70.
