# PILOT Capless (Vanishing Point) Fountain Pen (18ct Nib & Con-40) - Birch Black - Extra Fine Nib

This is the special Birch finish of the Capless fountain pen where a resin derived from birch wood is used to decorate the body of the pen. Trim and nib are rhodium plated. Gives a very refined look and feel to an already popular pen design.

Also known as the Vanishing Point, the nib is retractable and operated single handedly by a push button. When not in use, the nib is neatly stored behind a shutter system that prevents the nib from leaking or drying out.

The nib is 18ct gold with a rhodium plating. Available in Fine or Medium (which are narrower than European pens). The nib unit can be replaced if required.

PILOT Capless works well with proprietary PILOT IC-50 cartridges (inserted into a protective metal sleeve) or with a twist Con-40 converter and bottled ink. Works particularly well with PILOT Iroshizuku ink. Both the sleeve and the converter are included with the pen.

A clip at the writing end means that when you store the pen in your pocket it will be stored the correct orientation with the nib up.
