First you sharpen the wood, then you use a second hole to sharpen the lead.

Includes automatic stop so you don't oversharpen and a small catch area for shavings.

Also includes 2 spare blades that fit neatly into the catch area. Change the blades with a philips head screw driver when the shaving no longer breaks off as a continuous piece.
