THE CIAK Smartbook Is very clever. It combines a perpetual (undated) monthly planner with a ruled noted so that you can start it as a diary at any point in the year while keeping your action lists in the ruled notebook much like a #bullet journal. Here's how it works...

The front of the the notebook is dedicated to the monthly planners which don't have dates allocated to the days. Start by numbering off the days in the month.

Fill in your appointments, birthdays and events in the appropriate days of the month.

Use the ruled notebook after the the monthly planner to make more detailed notes or lists of action items and reference them back to the monthly planner by taking note of the page number. These notes can also be referenced to the index in the front of the book.

Essentially you have a #bullet journal which has the the added benefit of a structured monthly layout.
